Reviews and Ratings
I had such a mixed experience at this hotel. While the grounds are absolutely stunning and the atmosphere is enchanting, the quality of the food they served during our events was disappointing. The service at times felt rushed and didn't meet the high standards I was expecting for such a venue. Overall, it was a joyful trip but it left a bitter taste due to the food and service inconsistencies.
Hillbark Hotel and Spa offers an intriguing stay with a unique blend of history and luxury. The stunning grounds and high-quality dining in the wine cellar are standout features. However, the service had inconsistencies, particularly with room upkeep and dining delays, which impacted the overall experience.
My recent visit to the hotel provided a blend of delightful experiences and notable shortcomings. The vibrant ambiance and stunning historic architecture were mesmerizing, especially during afternoon tea, which was a real treat. However, the service during the wedding reception was decidedly lacking, and the dining delays were frustrating. Despite these issues, the hotel's charm and culinary offerings made the overall experience worthwhile.
My stay at Hillbark was quite memorable, especially due to the picturesque surroundings and the luxurious experience. The food quality was exceptional, particularly in the Michelin-star restaurant, but the service left something to be desired, especially regarding responsiveness during room service. The grounds are beautifully maintained, making it a romantic venue, and I truly enjoyed the spa services. However, there were some issues with the noise from events that impacted my stay.
Our experience at Hillbark was a mixed bag. While the historical charm and beautiful grounds were captivating, the dining and service fell short of expectations, especially for what is advertised as a luxury hotel. The ingredients for a wonderful stay were there, but the execution could have used some refinement.
